Sunday Reflections

I'm thinking about posting a Sunday reflections...some of it will be about my town and things I do to get to know it better...we have a local real estate agent who is posting "365 Things to Do" here in our town, or the surrounding communities on Facebook. I am trying to meet his challenge and try as many as I can.

We've been to the Fort a few times and I love it. It's like going back in time when I drive out there. I haven't taken a lot of pictures out there, but I plan to this week. Then I can share with you!

I am not going to always stick to our immediate area because there are so many places around to go and visit. I'll keep it to a 200 mile radius.

I also like to reflect on things of a religious matter on Sundays, so if you aren't into it...just whistle a happy tune as you pass by and come back tomorrow.

Sunday is church day. I belong to *The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) and we go to church for thee whole hours on Sunday and we keep the rest of it holy by...not shopping, not doing recreation, not working (when possible) or other things we normally would do during the week.

3 hours isn't much to give up in the scheme of how many hours we have in a whole week...and a whole day to rest from the world is a blessing.

Now, you may be thinking we are such "stick in the mud" types, but we aren't...at least not my family and friends who are Mormon! We may keep Sundays holy...but every other day of the week, we like to play, work, dance, party, watch TV and movies, craft, quilt, sew, paint, write, photograph, build, party, hobbies, etc. Mow the lawn, go on vacation, read the newspaper, celebrate Christmas (yes, we are Christians), Thanksgiving, Halloween, Valentines Day (dancing), St. Paddies Day, Birthdays, National Holidays...We are patriotic in our own countries, believe in following the laws. We fight for our country. We die for our country. We believe in a healthy lifestyle. We don't do drugs or drink alcohol. We love our fellow man, and much more. We are truly not so different.

I am happier than I have ever been in my life, since I joined this church in 1987.

*I don't go into debates over any religious or political topics. I will however, answer questions. If it becomes contentious, I will delete the comments...I gave fair warning. Opinions are yours and mine to hold dear. ...and believe me, I've heard it all. Anything that can be said, has already been said.

Now, if you've stayed this long...I commend you. I will be back to my wacky self tomorrow. Today...I am getting ready for church and then a nice Sabbath Day Nap.
