If you've never made these...DO IT! They are great!
I love making these with the girls...
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/8 tsp salt
3 cups quick cook oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 TBS vanilla extract
Instructions
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, cocoa, milk and butter. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla, salt, peanut butter and oats.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto wax paper. Cool cookies for at least an hour.
Store in an airtight container.
Makes approximately 36 cookies

ReplyDeleteI wonder if you could make them gluten free? Can hubby have oats??? My MIL has celiac so I am going to look for gluten free recipes for her...I'll have to check it out.
