Meal Plan Monday ~ Hawaiian Joes


It was so hot last week so we didn't stick to my meal plan very well :) So I will try again.

Wipe Out! Hawaiian Joes
 serves 6

Ingredients

2 Slices Thick Bacon, chopped
1 1/2 Lbs Ground Beef
1 Medium Yellow Onion, chopped
1-2 Cloves Garlic, diced or grated
1 Yellow or Red Bell Pepper, seeded and chopped
2 Tbs. Rice or Apple Cider Vinegar
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
3 Tbs Worcestershire Sauce
1 Small Can Tomato Sauce
3 Tbs Tomato Paste
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Cup Pineapple, diced small (canned okay)


Brown bacon with ground beef, onions, garlic and bell pepper in a large skillet and break up meat with spoon or spatula. Drain grease. Add vinegar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, tomato paste and brown sugar, mix together and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in pineapple and serve on kaiser rolls or any rolls you'd like.

Idea! Serve with Macaroni salad and Hawaiian Potato Chips.
