It's Okay Wednesday

It's okay...

...to leave a small store without getting what you went in for because a man is talking very, very loudly on his cell phone to the point of almost giving you a headache... apparently he needed to talk to a business associate right then while walking all over the store like it's his office... and you don't really want to know everything about his...business...PLUS he says "you know" every other word, you know. A lot of people were congregated "you know" up front near the "you know" register scared to "you know" move for fear "you know" he would "you know" run into them with his "you know" flailing arms and "you know"metal basket he was "you know" holding and "you know" waving about...don'tcha know.

...to be annoyed with someone who you just met because she doesn't like that you said "Oh, do you live in one of the cute little houses a couple streets over?" and she says..."No, I don't live in a little house." ...and proceeds to turn her back on you and you now have the plague so she ignores you completely. Sorry...but I think they're adorable little houses.

...to think your granddaughters' swimming teacher is an adorable, together, friendly, happy, responsible, cute... 21 year old guy that you wish you could get to wait about 14-15 years and marry one of your granddaughters...

...to enjoy running errands all. by. yourself. and then take the long way home.

...to wish people at church who have colds and flu would stay home and stop spreading their stinkin' germs.

...to  be sad that the praying mantis your granddaughter caught was accidentally stepped on and you had to put it out of its misery.

...to save a little frog from being squashed by the door.

...to swerve a little to avoid a tiny snake in the road.

...to have a Lady Gaga or Katy Perry song stuck in your head even if you are old enough to be their... I'm down with the new music.

...to love Kurt on Glee and laugh at everything that comes out of his mouth. I would have totally been his best friend in school.

...to think that maybe it's possible there are aliens from other worlds and they visit our planet. I mean...if there's no other life out there...seems like an awful waste of space...name that movie.

...to wish you a very happy day.

You know?

Hey! It's OK Wednesday

It's okay to make art your own.

Your own style.

Your own way.

Your own expression.

Speak your mind through creativity.

Own it.

I's okay to see things from a different angle.

Reflect on your work.

Have a Coke.

It's okay to welcome Fall in an unorthodox way.

It's okay to miss someone who was always by your side.

Hey! It's OK Wednesday

It's okay...

I love my big bowl that was my mother's. Many a dough has been mixed in this behemoth for many a year.

...to make a ton of PW cinnamon rolls and take them to a pot luck and only eat a half of one to ensure they are divine...they were! Recipe for them here.

...to then open up Pioneer Woman's blog and see she has this recipe and now I have to make these. Chocolate Chip Sweet Rolls.

...to tell you that my tummy has hurt ever since I went to said pot luck where I broke my own cardinal rule and ate something from someone I don't know and now I am paying for it.

Remind me next time to follow my rule to a T. Anything that color should have been a warning to steer clear...even if the person who made it is standing next to me telling me it's okay...it's not okay. I've never seen her kitchen. It could be germ infested and Freddy Krueger scary.

On a lighter note...

...it's okay to make a big splash in the world while learning something new.

Swimming lessons are going very well, thank you very much.
I'm going to take an antacid and have a lie down before homeschool starts.

*burp* sorry.

Hey! It's OK Wednesday

It's okay...

...to love things in black and white.

...because depth and beauty can be found in the shades of gray.

...beauty is deeper than color.

...unless you happen to be...lettuce.

Lettuce Romaine Friends Forever.

Hey! It's OK Wednesday-My Day at the Zoo

It's okay...

...to contemplate your dinner before killing and eating it.

...or to contemplate your life and dream of flying.

...to know that you are small but vicious.

...to always eat leftovers.

...to adore the one you love.

...to take a lie down in your fur coat.

...to be ferocious and vogue at the same time.

...to wear animal prints in the summer.

...to get a little nudge from a friend when you need it.

I'd like to thank all my animal friends for posing so nicely for me yesterday. I brought them all home and we watched Dr. Doolittle and ate popcorn. Sleeping arrangements were difficult...I didn't want anyone to be eaten by another guest. I took them all home in the morning after I made waffles.

Hey! It's OK Wednesday

It's OK...

...to want this little BBQ even though I don't need it. It's orange and little. I wants it, Precious.

...to use select-a-size paper towels. It's a good thing.

...to cry.

...to be happy watching a little cottontail bunny hop around in my yard every morning. I need to sneak out and take pictures...he hates me though.

...to take pictures of funny little leaf bugs that I think are looking right at me. Is he looking at you? Doesn't he look like your mother when she wasn't too happy with you? That's not my hairy arm :)

...to teach basic photography to a bunch of wonderful young women tonight and be excited...I will feed off of their youth for 2 hours.

...to be sad that So You Think You Can Dance is almost over. Who'll win? I like Kent. He makes me smile. Lauren is great. Robert...meh. He should play some Disney Prince.

...to love Glee.

...to be hopelessly in love with Madley because he sacrifices so much for me. Watching Glee and SYTYCD with me, letting me read Eclipse to him (we're almost finished) and then he is going to read Harry Potter to me. He's never read the books. This will be fun.

Hey! It's Okay!

It's okay...

...to be an airhead sometimes and put the milk in the cupboard and shoes in the refrigerator.

...to have a colorful past and never tell anyone about any of it.

...to sometimes be the only one in a crowd to stand up for something you truly believe in.

The last two photographs I enhanced with Paintshop Pro and Photoshop, you can click them for a larger view.

It's Okay Wednesday

Remember this picture from yesterday's post? Well, imagine this as flat.

It's Okay to...

...laugh and feel bad at the same time, when my 33 year old daughter texts me that it's raining, lightning and thundering in N. CA, where she's at now, and she can't find her tent stakes....then texts that her poles are missing too...and I go out it the garage and find that they fell between some boxes she was moving around a few days ago. Now she gets to bunk with someone else. This is a nightmare for an only child :)

...to text her that, though I flew home and back in record time, after dropping her off yesterday morning, to make sure she didn't have to hike in flip flops and retrieve her forgotten hiking boots, I am NOT driving 7 hours one way to take her her tent poles and stakes. I think I'm funny.

...to not tell her that I found them in the garage between the boxes and make fun of her...unless I decide I want to text her on Saturday while she's returning from her camping trip and tell her she is a big doofus like her mother.

...to then proceed to sleep like a baby in my nice, warm, comfy, not in a tent, bed.

Sunset Little Indy texted me last night.

It's Okay Wednesday

Over at the lovely blog Airing My Dirty Laundry this is what she does on Tuesdays. I like Wednesday for it and it's okay...

It's okay to...

...receive a $10 gift card in the mail from Kohl's and go buy two bath towels on sale in Oregon, where there is no sales tax, so I got them practically free.

...laugh out loud while reading a poo story on another blog.

...read Breaking Dawn out loud to Madley one chapter a night. Can you believe he's letting me?

...do a high five-touch down-boogie dance when you find out some good news that maybe was a bit of an inappropriate response for said news, but I don't care. Savvy?

...be attached to the Woody I bought at Burger King when Toy Story came out in the theaters and to the Bullseye horsey I found a few years later at the Disney store .

...go back to the used movie store today to pay for a movie they forgot to charge me for yesterday. It's how I roll.

...eat a wonderful sandwich with yummy pickles and homemade sweet potato/potato chips on the side at a little deli Madley and I found Monday on our date day... and then buy two more huge pickles, which were divine, to take home and hide them from the masses and eat them in secret. They're lemongrass, dill and Serrano pepper pickles made right there in the deli! No one touches my pickles!

...think that the next door neighbors' granddaughter is completely annoying because she screams and cries the. whole. time. she's. visiting. and they won't let her in the house... so we have to close our windows.  She has one of those cries that grates on everyone's nerves including her parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. Someone needs to hug that little person more.

...like the movie Fool's Gold. Matthew is...

...wish I could have seen 110 in the Shade at the Hale Theater in Orem, Utah because Will Swenson and Audra McDonald starred in it and my friend Korianne got to be in it too (in fact she still is) and I just really miss the Hale Theater and want to move back to Utah for the sole purpose of seeing plays and musicals at my favorite little theater again. Can you tell I really wish I could have seen it and that I miss the Hale Theater? Well, I do.

The End

It's Okay Wednesday

It's okay...

...to warn you there's a 'giant spider' picture below!

...to buy a Leveled Reader for kids about the Fab Four at the thrift store and read it in the bathroom.

...to think Smart Cars are cute, but I would need two of them so what's the point?

...to think my best friend Kimmie is beautiful.

...to make weird clay sculptures at the Childrens' Museum and laugh maniacally while doing so.

...to like large spiders and take their picture when they are in my front yard...unless they get on me...then you'll know what a screaming banshee looks and sounds like.
